McDreamy reportedly ain't cutting it as the face of the brand's menswear line, an insider tells OK!, and now the fashion empire is considering axing the good doctor for a great Scot -- 300's Gerard Butler.

�Ironically, Gerard is most famous for a role in which he practically wore no clothes, but he�ll be a much better fit for the sexy brand,� the insider says.

Perhaps Versace�s clientele has more in common with the hunky bachelor -- Gerard's been linked to Cameron Diaz and Cheryl Burke -- than with the married father of two?
